Insurance solutions for the way you live and work

Services

Every person, property and business has different needs. I'll help you understand the available options and explore coverage that makes sense for your circumstances.

Auto Insurance

Whether you're buying your first car, replacing an existing vehicle or reviewing your current policy, I'll help you navigate auto insurance in BC.

How does auto insurance work in BC?

ICBC Basic Autoplan is mandatory for vehicles that require it and must be purchased through ICBC. For Optional Coverage, such as Excess Third-Party Liability, Collision and Comprehensive, you may be able to compare options through ICBC and private auto insurers.

I can help you understand:

  • The different types of auto coverage
  • ICBC vs private auto insurance options
  • The golden rule of choosing a deductible
  • Factors that may affect your premium
  • When you should add drivers to your policy
  • How claims may affect your insurance rate
  • Vehicle transfers and applicable tax considerations
  • Registering imported vehicles (Canadian, American, Japanese)
  • Considerations when a vehicle is temporarily not in use
  • Applying for personalized and Collector licence plates

Home Insurance

Your insurance needs depend on the type of property you own or live in. I'll help you understand the differences and explore options for your situation.

Homeowner Insurance
Owning a house comes with significant financial responsibilities. Home Insurance can help protect your dwelling, personal belongings and personal liability, and may cover additional living expenses following an insured loss, subject to the policy terms.
Condo / Strata Townhouse Insurance
Strata insurance generally covers the building structure, common property and shared facilities, subject to the strata policy. It doesn't necessarily cover everything inside your individual unit. Your own Condo Insurance may cover personal belongings, unit improvements, personal liability and other eligible losses. You may also want to consider coverage for your share of certain Strata Deductibles that could be charged back to an owner, subject to the wording of your policy. Understanding the difference between Strata Insurance and your own Condo Insurance is an important part of protecting yourself.
Tenant Insurance
Renting doesn't mean you don't need insurance. Tenant Insurance can help protect your personal belongings and provide personal liability coverage. It may also cover additional living expenses after an insured loss. It's worth understanding what the policy covers rather than treating it as just another item on your lease checklist.
Rental Property Insurance
Insurance for a rental property is different from insurance for a home you live in yourself. Whether you're renting out a condo or a house, I'll first learn about the property and how it's being used, then help you explore suitable options.

Travel Insurance

A good trip starts with understanding your travel plans and the risks you may face along the way. Based on your destination, itinerary and circumstances, I'll help you explore relevant options, which may include:

  • Emergency Medical Insurance

  • Baggage Insurance
  • Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance

  • Sports & Activities Coverage

Coverage, eligibility and exclusions vary by plan, so it's important to review the details before you travel.

Commercial Insurance

Running a business comes with risks, and the right insurance depends on your industry, operations, property and contractual obligations.

Tell me about your business, and we'll explore which coverage options may be worth considering.

Business Owners & Entrepreneurs

Commercial General Liability (CGL)
Helps protect your business against covered third-party bodily injury and property damage claims arising from your operations, subject to the policy terms.
Commercial Property Insurance
Can cover insured business property, such as equipment, inventory and other physical assets, against specified insured losses.
Business Interruption Insurance
May help replace lost business income and cover eligible ongoing expenses when an insured event disrupts your operations, subject to the policy wording and applicable conditions.
Crime Insurance
Can provide coverage for certain financial losses resulting from events such as employee dishonesty, forgery, theft of money and securities, or computer and funds-transfer fraud, depending on the policy.
Commercial Package
Combines selected coverages into a package designed around your business's operations and insurance needs.

Strata Corporations & Property Managers

Condominium / Strata Master’s Insurance
Purchased by a Strata Corporation, this insurance generally covers the building, common property and shared facilities against insured losses. It may also provide liability coverage for the Strata Corporation, subject to the policy. This is different from the individual Condo Insurance that unit owners may need for their own belongings, improvements, liability and other exposures.

Professionals

Professional Liability / Errors & Omissions
Can help protect professionals against covered claims alleging negligence, errors or omissions in their professional advice or services.

Contractors

Bonding
Depending on the project and contract requirements, available bonds may include Bid Bonds, Agreements to Bond / Consents, Performance Bonds, Labour & Material Payment Bonds, Maintenance Bonds and Prequalification Letters.
Builder’s Risk / Course of Construction
Designed for construction, renovation and certain civil engineering projects. Coverage may protect against specified property losses during construction and may address certain associated exposures, depending on the policy. Whether you're managing a major project or renovating a home, it's important to understand the insurance requirements before work begins.

Fleet & Automotive Businesses

Fleet
Can bring multiple eligible vehicles under one policy, helping simplify insurance administration for businesses or individuals with several vehicles, and may qualify for a fleet discount.
Garage Policy
Designed for eligible automotive businesses, such as repair shops, dealerships, car washes, detailing businesses and certain parking operations. Coverage depends on the operations insured and the policy wording, and may address third-party liability and customers' vehicles in your care.
Driving School Bond
A bond that may be required for licensed driving schools in BC. The specific requirements and conditions depend on the relevant rules and bond wording.
